Runaway Sky began when Simone and Taylor met at a Hear Fort Worth Mixer in August 2021. What started as a chance encounter quickly evolved into a creative partnership defined by their natural harmonies and shared love of storytelling. Blending the soulfulness of Sheryl Crow with the charm of Kacey Musgraves, the duo has carved out a sound that feels both timeless and fresh.

Since introducing themselves to the DFW scene in 2022, Runaway Sky has been featured on Good Morning Texas, performed at premier venues, and shared stages with artists like Alexz Johnson, Tim Lightyear, Billy King and the Bad Bad Bad, and Sixpence None The Richer. In 2024, the duo was nominated for Best Country Act at the Dallas 2nd Annual Entertainment Awards, with their debut single “Arizona” also earning a nomination for Best Country Song. That same year, “Arizona” was featured on KXT Presents: The Best Songs from North Texas Artists in 2024. The following year, they made their full-band debut at Americanafest 2025, marking a milestone moment in their musical evolution.

Their debut single, “Arizona,” released in April 2024, gained airplay on KXT Radio, followed by their second single, “Sweet Things,” in June 2025. With heartfelt lyrics and captivating melodies, Runaway Sky continues to craft songs that radiate authenticity, connection, and an undeniable sense of wanderlust. The duo is currently in the studio working on their debut album.
